Well as we know that with the introduction of 20-20 cricket, the original form of cricket, the test matches have taken a back seat. So, to increase the people’s interest in the test format, the international cricket council has been planning many things. One such idea is that to play day-night test cricket, so that more people can watch the game after finishing their job in office. This will not only increase the viewership for test cricket, but also will make the game much more interesting. But, if this has to be made a possibility than the main change that has to be made would be to change the color of the ball. It is not possible to with the red balls that is being used in the test matches. Also ICC is planning to cut short of the time , interms of no of days test cricket is being played. ICC chief has an idea to reduce the test cricket to just 4 days, to that of 5 days. But, will this be implemented, well we have to wait and see. But this will be initially tested in domestic matches before being implemented in international cricket.
