The gentle man’s game cricket has seen many a domination in the past century or so. But it has been either Australia or west indies , who have dominated the game in the past century. It was Australian domination in the early 20th century, then it was west indies domination in the later half of the 20Th century . That’s when the west indies team won two world cups back to back. but then the crown slowly but steadily changed hands to Australian side. After which there was no looking back for the Australian cricket team since then. They have already won four world cup’s and also they are the present champions. But off late , it seems that the world domination is slipping away from the the Australians. They are no longer the strongest cricketing side as they were. now it seems to be the era of India and south Africa. More so India is topping the charts. They have been playing some of the best cricket of late. They have been winning almost everywhere they tour and play. They are playing great cricket in all forms of the game. Same goes with the south African’s they are playing some of the best cricket, but they have always been doing that. Only thing is they are sometimes very unlucky. May it their turn next, to dominate the world cricket. So its going to be India or South African team. we will have to wait and watch.

The great Indian premier league, the greatest cricket carnival in the world, which had a great reception in its first edition, which was played in India last year. its was a great hit, not just with the Indian fans but with fans all over the world. The second edition which was slated to be played in April this year, was facing many problems due to security reasons. Since there is general election slated to be held in India at the same time as the ipl games where to be played, the Indian government was reluctant to provide security proof for the ipl matches. That is because the general elections itself will require hell a lot of security personals. So the government asked the ipl governing committee to either postpone or reschedule the games. Which left the future of the games in uncertainty. So the ipl committee provided the rescheduled dates of the ipl to the home ministry but that too was rejected. So many feared if at all the ipl will take place this time. But those speculation have now come to an end . With no other choice the ipl committee and the franchisees have unanimously decided to shift the tournaments out of India.Now the ipl games will be either played in either South Africa or England.Even though it is a sad news that the games are moving out of India, at least we can be happy for the fact the tournament is atlast happening.So the ipl fever starts now.

The world’s biggest cricket tournament as for as the 20-20 is concerned is without doubt the Indian premier league.It was launched last year in India, which for many was the crickets version of club football premier leagues that been played in the European countries.The last years tournament for a very big success as for as cricket is concerned.People went crazy once the tournament was on and they were eagerly waiting for this years tournament.This years tournament was to be even more bigger and grand after the English player were auctioned.But that has got a heavy beating after the terror attacks were launched on the sri lankan players in Lahore.foreign players are hesitant to come to India fearing security reasons.And just to add to the fire, another obstacle has emerged in the name of general elections which is slated to be held in April-may, for which lots of security has to be in place.So the home ministry of India has asked the ipl committee to reshedule the ipl matches so that they can provide adequate security for the ipl matches.But since the ipl matches have been scheduled earlier itself,it was close to impossible to reschedule the matches.But if that’s the case,then the home ministry warned that they would not be able to provide enough security, since the elections itself will require lots of security personals.So the ipl committee had no choice but to reshedule the event and they are actually on the process of rescheduling the matches that collied with the election dates. But now the committee is trying to reschedule the matches in such a way there is no ipl matches on the election day and also there will be no match before and after the election in a particular city atleast for 48 hours.So at last the resheduling process is on and they have 14 cities to choose from to host the matches.So IPL is well and truly on…..

The twenty-twenty is the newest forms of cricket. Many consider this format has future of cricket.It is also the most interesting format of cricket.People say that 20-20 is the cricket’s answer to football.We all know that football is the most popular sport in the world,which is followed by almost all the countries in the whole world.But same cannot be said about the game cricket.Cricket has not been able to achieve not even the half the popularity as that of football.But still cricket is been followed by atleast the half the population of the world,thanks to the one single country India and it’s craze for cricket.At the most cricket has been followed by 50 countries around the world.But it is very less compared to football ,which is more that 250 countries all over the world.But there is always been a question mark in the minds of sport lover,that is why a very interesting sport such as cricket has not gained the popularity that it deserves.

But when we think of what is the reason behind it,we actually have some reason.There was a time when only test cricket was played and not all the cricket matches that was played. provided the results. That is, most games ended in a draw,that too after playing for five days.Experts said that this is the only reason,why many do not follow cricket.That,s when one day cricket came into existence.Which even though became a huge hit with the cricket playing nation,but still it was able to draw only few nation to take up the game of cricket and play.But as times passed , even one day cricket became a bit long for some people.That’s when the idea of 20-20 raised, which is the quickest form of cricket in terms of time.Also the most interesting form of cricket which lasts just three hours long.Thus with the arrival of 20-20, it is expected to bring in more countries to take part in the game and in tern will increase the viewership for the game.And it seems to be actually happening, which is evident from the fact that countries such as America,Canada,china, and many more countries have started playing the game.If that happens, then game football will face a stiff competition from cricket.Hope that happens,which will be really great for the sports lovers.
