The much awaited 2nd IPL auction is finally over.In total 17 player were picked up by different teams.Some players have been picked up for huge money.Among them Kevin Pietersen and Andrew filntoff of England were the two players, who were bought for highest prize in the history of IPL by Bangalore royal challengers and Chennai super kings respectively..Both were sold for huge sum of USD1.55 million each.By this Kp and freddie have become the richest players in the world surpassing M S Dhoni of India,who was the highest paid player in IPL earlier with $1.5million.Not only Kp and freddie, other players from England also were sold for good money.But it was not the same for Australia,where only two players were picked by the franchise from the Aus team.There were some surprise as well, where little known players like mortaza of Bangladesh and Henderson of South Africa were brought for some huge money.So now, with 2nd ipl auction over all the teams have got what they wanted and are raring to go for the cup in the 2nd twenty twenty IPL carnival.Finally IPL fever has started.

Hi,here is a great news for all the chennaiets , especially for the cricket buffs.our city is going to get a brand new cricket stadium.This new cricket ground is going to be an ultra modern cricket stadium.It’s going to be one of the best place to play cricket .The ground is going to be equipped with all the latest facilities, that would make a perfect plays to play cricket.The new ground is being built for the 2011 world cup.
The new facility is going to come up in the old mahabalipuram road, which is going to be 25 Km away from the city.But don worry now we have a great road to get there.Also the ground that is going to be built as going to be one of the largest grounds in the world with 60,000 seats.The TN CA has decided to spend around 100 crore on this facility.The expenditure is going to be shared between TN CA and BC CI.Also the other great news is that the new ground is going to be a weather proof stadium.So that the match is not stopped due to rain.
Even though chepauk is not yet lost it’s shine, i don’t think there is anything wrong in having the new stadium.Chepauk will always have its history…..
