It is the country which most of the Indians dream about. It was a dream for any average Indian to go to the heaven of economy United States of America. But I doubt if it is still the case. America is facing one of the worst economic down turn in recent years. Yes America is in recession. Americans are facing the heat.
Many companies in U S are forced to do job cuts, which has left many people jobless. Even the Indians who have settled over there are facing the heat. Many Indians who went there are now without job or in the verge of losing their job. But most badly hit are the investors who have invested in the stock markets. Due to the economic crisis the stock markets have got a heavy beating. So that has affected the general people who have invested in various firms. Many have lost their money.
The most disturbing part is that the no of people who have committed suicide. That includes a lot of Indians who have ended their lives. The sad thing is that many Indians have committed suicide with their whole family. This has left a big question mark on the Indians who are planning to go and get settled in America. I hope and pray that this economic crisis ends and normalcy prevails.
